Seasoned Smashed Potatoes

Ingredients
4 large or 6 medium potatoes (do not peel)
Favorite dry seasoning like cilantro, dill, garlic salt, basil, salt & pepper or onion powder
Butter or margarine (if desired)

Directions
Place potatoes in a microwave safe bowl with at least one inch of water above the potatoes.
Heat on high for 11 to 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

OR:

Place potatoes in saucepan with at least one inch of water above the potatoes. Cook over medium-high heat on the stovetop until tender.
Drain water and place on flat serving tray.
Use the flat bottom of a glass to gently "smash" each potato flat.

Sprinkle with dry season and drizzle with melted butter (if desired).
